Emily Fields turns her journal entries into pop-soul songs, sharing deeply personal stories entwined with universal human experiences - for the overthinkers and big feelers.
Emily grew up in a quiet village, listening to the likes of Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin on repeat, to become a self-taught singer. Alongside modern influences like Adele, Griff and Olivia Dean, these artists continue to inspire her songwriting and sound today.
Before becoming an artist in her own right, Emily moved to London and quickly immersed herself in the music scene, singing choir vocals for artists like Stormzy (Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage), Emeli Sandé (The 02) and Rita Ora (Wembley Arena). She’s performed backing vocals on 'The Voice’ (ITV), ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ (ITV) and ‘The Last Leg’ (Channel 4), as well as featuring in the choir for Amazon Prime’s ‘Cinderella’ movie, alongside Camila Cabello.
Back in November 2022, Emily released her debut single, 17, which shot straight to number 21 on the iTunes chart. Since then, she’s gone from strength-t0-strength as an independent artist, connecting with listeners who see themselves in her stories. Career highlights so far include a placement on ITV’s Love Island All Stars, support from BBC Introducing and a run of live shows – most recently ‘The Ned’ – hosted by Radio 1 presenter, Jodie Bryant.
Lefuturewave remarked that Fields' writing, "concretizes what music is all about," and she was named “one to watch” by Right Chord Music in 2024. Emily is currently working on her debut EP and preparing to support fellow singer-songwriter, Ciinderella Balthazar, at her headline show in May.
